Jeevitha can have a bright future

Jeevitha studies in grade 2 in a school run by Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu. Her father is a farmer, earning Rs.2000 ($ 40) per month, which is barely sufficient to meet the needs of the three member family. Many a times, in cases of medical emergencies, their savings get depleted and the family often goes without proper food for days on end. The family lives in a small hut in a village. Jeevitha loves attending school and excels in singing and drawing.

Jeevitha’s family can barely afford one decent meal in a day, because of which she is severely undernourished. Your donation of a year of school lunches, Janet, will ensure that Jeevitha gets a healthy, well balanced school lunch and a glass of milk every day.  This will help her build up immunity and increase her attention span.

Public transportation is virtually non-existent in the area, making it almost impossible for Jeevitha’s parents to send her to school. Isha Vidhya, therefore, provides transportation to get her to school. Your donation, Max, will enable Isha Vidhya to provide a year of transportation for Jeevitha, thereby ensuring that she attends school everyday.

Thank you, Rao, for donating two sets of school uniforms to Jeevitha. Living on the edge of poverty as they do, her family cannot afford new clothes for Jeevitha. The school uniforms are the only decent clothes that she has, and she will continue wearing them with pride for many months.
