Harikrishanan is fluent in English

Harikrishanan studies in grade two in a school run by Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu. His father is a farmer and his mother is a housewife.

Children from Harikrishnan’s background are not encouraged to go to school. They are put to work as soon as they are able, and even if they are too young to work, they are kept at home to avoid unnecessary expenses. Your generosity, Gauri and PV will provide Harikrishnan with school supplies, and tuition fees for an entire year, and enable him to go to school at a school run by Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu.

The financial situation of the family is such that Harikrishanan barely gets to eat one proper meal in a day. The meals that he is fed are lacking in essential nutrients, because of which he is undernourished. Your donations,, of three months of school lunches each, will ensure that Harikrishanan is fed one wholesome meal a day in school everyday for an entire school year. Proper nutrition will also ensure that he is less susceptible to illnesses, and can concentrate better on his studies.

Harikrishanan has to travel a long distance to get to school (and back) from his village. On days when none of his family members is able to drop him off at school, he used to end up missing school. Your donation will ensure that he is able to get to school (and back) every day without having to be dependent on anybody.
