Devanathan is a bright child with a bright future

Thank you for supporting Devanathan’s education and school meals for an entire year.

Devanathan has just been admitted in kindergarten at a school run by Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu. His father, Ammavasai, is completely blind, and cannot go out to work. His mother, Latha, is a daily laborer and it is her earnings that support the entire family. Unfortunately, she is frequently ill, and the family often has to go without food for days on end when she is not able to work. Devanathan is a very bright child, and his teachers are confident that he will do well, if he is given a chance.

Devanathan’s entire education, including tuition, school supplies, and transportation will be taken care of by your gift. He will also receive two sets of school uniforms, which will ensure that he doesn’t look any different from the other children in his class.

In addition, Devanathan will get a nutritious school lunch, comprising of rice, lentils and vegetables everyday that he attends school. Since this might be the only meal that he gets in the day, his parents will ensure that he doesn’t miss school unless absolutely essential.
