Vishwa gets to attend another year of school

Thank you for coming together to support Vishwa for an entire year. He has just entered grade 2 at a school run by Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu.

Vishwa’s father, Veerappan, is very old and can no longer go out to work. His mother, Nagammal, is the only earning member in the family, and on days when she finds work, she earns about Rs. 100 ($ 2) a day. The family was affected by a recent cyclone (Cyclone Thane), and is struggling to recover from losing most of their material possessions. Despite leading a hand-to-mouth existence, Vishwa’s family recognize the value of a good education, and want to give it to their son. However, they will be able to do so only with your support.

Thank you, Venkat, for providing an entire year of nutritious school meals to Vishwa. His family lives much below the poverty line, and there is often no food in the house for several days. By providing him with a school lunch, you will make sure that Vishwa will get at least one good meal every day. Each of you is like a savior to little Vishwa.
