Pradeep is a sharp 5 year old boy studying in Kindergarten.  He has no siblings or father.  He lives with his mother and his grandparents who are daily wagers with a very limited income.  He is showing good progress in his studies and very good progress in both sports and cultural activities. Heman is a 7 year old boy studying in Class 2,  living with his grandparents in Santhecounda Palayam in Southern India.  He is without a father and his mother is earning only 3500 rupees (~$75)/month.  Education has not been a priority for the family due to very limited resources.  However, he is now able to study with his younger brother (Sanjai) in the same school and class.  This generous gift has given him the opportunity of education this year.  He is getting stronger every week and is showing steady progress in his studies.  Thank you Baizad for supporting Heman in his studies!

Vanirayashree  is a 9 year old girl studying in class 4 who  moved with her mother to her maternal uncle’s house  at Santhecoundapalayam after her father passed away.  Her mother is a farm laborer and has no standard income for them to rely on.  She has no siblings. Vani is an excellent student, studies well, and is active in sports and cultural activities. It is thanks to your generous donation, Sivasankaran, that Vani will be able to complete 4th grade!

Praveen is a 5 year old smart little boy studying in kindergarten.  He has one 2 year old younger brother, and they both live with their mother  in their grandparents house.  His mother and grandparents are both daily wage earners and make very little money. He is showing tremendous progress in his studies and is very good in sports and cultural activities.  Praveen’s dream is to become a doctor!  Thanks, Sivasankaran, for supporting Praveen and his ambitions!

Mohana is an 8 year old girl studying in 2nd grade and  has one sibling studying in a Government school.  Her father has passed away and her mother is a field worker, earning 2000 Rupees (~$40) per month.  She is very brilliant child and excels in all the subject.  With such a situation at home, she is still a very happy student.  Thank you, Sivasankaran, for your support of Mohana and Isha Vidhya!

Jayashree is a 9 year old girl, living in a village called Semmedu, and she is the only child for her parents. She is very good in English, Mathematics, Computer Science  and sports.  Her father works as a daily wager in a garments company, and her mother is suffering from a chronic ailment, every alternate month she is hospitalized and treated for 10 days.  Considering such a difficult situation at home,  she still maintains an amazing attitude, like a little bunch of flowers.  Thank you Baizad, you have  lit Jayashree’s life with education for this year, otherwise she can not afford to study and attend school.

Srihari is a 4 year old boy studying in kindergarten.  He has no father and his mother is a saleswoman, making 2500 Rupees (~$50) a week.  He has no other siblings.  It is hard for Srihari’s family to make education a priority when there is no food and shelter.  Given the opportunity to study at Isha, he is making great progress!  Thank you to Heidi (1 month), Sindur (1 month) and Sivasankaran (4 months) for your generous donations! Sivalingam is just starting kindergarten!

Sivalingam is just starting Kindergarten at Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu, South India. Both of his parents are farm laborers, who make very little money from the day jobs they sporadically find.  Without the free education provided by Isha Vidhya and supported by generous donors like you, it would be impossible for Sivalingam to go to school.  In addition to excellent computer-based, English medium education, Sivilingam will also receive a uniform (pictured), nutritous daily meals and health supplements, allowing him to not only study well but stay healthy!  Thank you to Sachin, Gaurav, Laura, Anoop, Rakesh and Kamy for your generous donations of a month of tuition.  Your donations have all been matched allowing Isha Vidhya to support Sivalingam for an entire year!
